Don't waste your time and money
I bought this mower to replace my last mower that lasted 12 years!! I paid extra for this one to have an electric start. The company must have sent me the wrong charger because it won't even plug in correctly. I needed to mow so just used the pull start. I didn't need to mow again for a month (I live in rain free Austin, Texas) and forgot about the electric start issue. After mowing, I came inside and called Poulan about the issue. They told me to take it in to a repair shop. I have a tiny car so had to find a friend to drive it across town. The repair shop said it would take 5 weeks to even look at it. They wouldn't even show me if I was trying to plug it in wrong. Brought it back home and called Amazon. Since it was now out of the 30 days, I could not return it. I called Poulan again and they basically said "who cares"? I hate this mower. It is heavy, bulky, and no electric start. Most of all I hate the company. I think customer service is 90% of a company and they have 0%.

EXCELLENT MOWER
Love the key start. Easy to setup no assembly required. Unfold handle add provided oil, connect wire to spark plug, add gas adjust deck height,add gasoline, charge battery. Love battery charge connector on handle easy to connect charger. Side discharge works excellent. Rear bagger easy to install/remove. Always like large rear wheels. Front wheel drive better than rear wheel drive for easy manuvering. Powerful engine, clean cutting. Deck wash connector easy to use, cleans underside of deck real good.
Needs a throttle control
It starts up at full speed and can't be controlled, so if your going over grass where it meets gravel, it sucks up stones. The speed also propels the mower faster than i want to walk.

American made quality at its very best
Looked at and read reviews on many mowers before deciding on this mower from a local dealer. It has a heavy steel frame and an OHV Kohler motor that is stronger and larger than the Honda in this price range. The cast iron motor means less problems with overheating and damage compared to aluminum engines, and there are less moving parts. And the OHV engine is more fuel efficient and gas ain't cheap right now :-( Wheels have ball bearing which means they will last longer and have less wobble than the Craftsman we had. Consumer Report rated it very good for mulching, handling and ease of use.

Some Sears stores carry the entry level Husq with the smaller engine but you can check it out for yourself. If you have a large yard or heavy southern grass, then you would want this engine size.

Solid frame and engine---flimsy electric system---warranty a joke
Purchased this Husqvarna XT722FE mower thru AMAZON in April 11. Easy to assemble but noticed a rather flimsy plug connection and electic wiring( the fuse hangs between the handle uorights and connection to starter is two basic wires hanging out above the deck) After second use, the mower would not start as battery did not appear to have charged....thought it was a bad battery. However my techie side got out the old multimeter and found out that the charger had ceased to work. Called warranty service and first question was "who was the distributor that you bought the lawnmower from" when I replied "AMAZON" the CS lady on the other end said " oh, that's a problem". Told me I had to make an appointment at a service center and take in the mower and the charger (yes the entire thing)---called for an appointment and the earliest they could see me was July 11 and it would have to go thru their "troubleshooting--approx 1 week"---called customer service back but they would not send out a new...
Very Good - But
I poured in the oil and gas, charged up the battery, and turned the key once. It started up instantly, and has done so every time since. The steel construction inspires confidence. I subtracted a star because the mower arrived with a faulty rear wheel, and the manual is really pretty awful.

Good little mower UPDATE
I have never had a riding lawn mower before. The last year or so I have been thinking about getting a small lawn mower. My lawn is average. Takes about 45 minutes to cut it. So I wanted one that was small & fit through the gate to the back yard. Sears has a craftsman rear engine for $1400. That's more than I wanted to spend plus it maybe to but for my yard. So I seen this Weedeater at Wal-mart for $650. It was the perfect size. It stared right up & was easy to use. I cut my yard & it did a great job. I was real pleased. The only problem I ran into is the mower can not do hills. I have a very small hill & it would not make it up it no matter what I tried. It made it down the hill great. So I will go down & not up. I would say if you have flat yard this is a great mower & go for it.
CORRECTION - I was wrong about the hills. A gentleman called & asked about the mower & stated he had a hill in his back yard he was concerned about. He lived across town so I fired my WE-ONE up and...

So far, so good.
With this being a new item this year, early availability has been low. Found that one of the Big Box retailers had received one or two each and thought I'd snag one quick as they could be in short supply. Going on faith, as no reviews to be found yet, I brought one home still crated. Was very pleased with quality at first sight, found it to be very simple to assemble and it started right up with just some fuel...oil already installed. I had read about the new Briggs 875 engine and although no HP rating, the 8.75 torqe rating was listed. The engine is very quiet with a nice muffler system and it moves the mower over grass very well. Engaging the mower deck (belt driven so do so slowly, the noise level increases while turning the drive pulleys and the blade and the enging revs with the increased load. As it is only mid March, I haven't cut grass with it yet, but I expect it will do so nicely. There are 3 forward speeds and I am hopeful that it will cut well at the fastest...

Update: (6-20-2011)
The problem with the transmission has never reoccurred again. It is working flawlessly. It may have been a piece of debris that got caught up in the chain or belt and has now gone away. I still really like this mower. The only drawback is the transmission's excessive noise and the vibration when the mower blade is engaged. This mower is perfect for small yards and has plenty power to cut a really thick lawn.

It may also be noteworthy that Sears and Snapper all use this same type of transmission. I have not tried their mowers but I do know they cost two or three times as much as the Weed Eater One.
