This mulcher kit worked as advertised for my husqvarna mower, was easy to install and mows great. I did not know that Poulan parts were the same as Husqvarna. Also, this was the best price that I found on line for the item. I had been looking and expected to pay about $80 instead of the $50 at amazon.

This kit is GREAT!!!
Whoever rated this kit a 1-star either bought the wrong kit or is clueless.
A 54" mulching blade kit will cost at least $30. $20 more for the block off plate is very reasonable. I have a 2005 Husqvarna GT2254 mower, and this kit fits like a glove - it is very evident the block off plate was designed specifically for this deck.
Pro's:
- Easy to install. Blades install like any other blade, and the block-off plate is pretty straight forward.
- Fit is very good for the block off plate. Stays on tight, molded correctly, no complaints
- Most importantly - it mulches VERY WELL. I've used it twice now. I haven't done any super tall grass (which you shouldn't do with any mulching setup), but normal mowing in damp and dry grass has been great. This has honestly transformed my mower into a setup that mows a lot nicer than it previously did.
- Shipping was free and very quick.
